Four of the group’s members — Heeseung, Jake, Jungwon and Jay — came by the New York Times kitchen studio to make some Korean-inspired pies.

Welcome to the Pizza Interview, a new series from The New York Times Cooking where the Q&A has a catch: Our guests have to make pizza.
Known for genre-blending hits, dramatic storytelling and powerful performances, Enhypen has become one of K-pop’s fastest-rising groups since debuting in 2020, and driven by a devoted fandom, Engene, the group shows no signs of slowing down.

Have you ever made a pizza before?
JUNGWON Yes.
JAKE You have?
JUNGWON With my family.
Any of you like to cook?
JAY I think we all love to. Maybe.
JAKE I reckon I like cooking, but I never cook that much.
JAY We don’t have enough time.
What’s your favorite pizza place?
JUNGWON Pizza Hut.
JAKE I don’t really have a favorite. I don’t really have a preference, because I only really like pepperoni. Every pizza shop has it.
What are your favorite Korean pizza toppings?
JUNGWON Bulgogi.
JAY I prefer corn and Hawaiian.
JAKE I would choose New York pizza all day. I feel like the pizzas here are more thin. In Korea, they’re, like, really thick.
Do you all still live together?
ALL Yeah!
And who does most of the cooking?
JAY Actually no one.
JAKE Shout out to …
JUNGWON Baemin [a food delivery app].
JAKE We have like Uber Eats but Korean version. We’re, like, V-V-V.I.P. We order every day.
Do you share your meals together?
JAKE We used to, but now it’s hard to agree on one menu so we all just get different ones.
JAY It’s the most peaceful way to solve the problem.
What’s your favorite childhood snack?
HEESEUNG Cheetos.
JAY Froot Loops? Is that right? It’s like the jelly. Like the tape.
VICTORIA CHEN Fruit by the Foot!
JAY Yes. I always bought it at Costco.
If you were a food dish, what would you be? Can you answer for one another?
JUNGWON [pointing at Jay] Potato.
JAY It’s not a dish!
JAKE You’re supposed to say a dish, like a spaghetti.
JUNGWON Steamed potato.
JAKE Heeseung, what kind of dish is he?
JAY Tteokbokki.
JAKE No, I’d say ramen noodles with egg.
HEESEUNG It’s a recipe that I made.
JAY: Jake. Lasagna.
JAKE Oh! I love lasagna.
JAKE [About Jungwon] Marshmallow. Or maybe like a s’mores dip.
CHEN Do you agree?
JUNGWON Yes!
